The Armistice ending
World War I took
effect on the 11th
hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.
Originally called
Armistice Day, November 11th has been set aside to honor the veterans of
all services and all wars.
At this sacred moment,
we honor both our living veterans and those who who made the ultimate sacrifice
that we might live out our lives in freedom.
Please honor your
veterans by attending the
Veteran's Day Ceremonies
in your community,
but if you can't:
Pause for a moment
at 11:00 a.m. on November 11th and reflect on the men and women who preserved
our most precious gift, freedom.
